The UK’s Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee (DCMS committee) has launched a probe on how realistic are the UK government’s plans of ensuring gigabit-capable broadband to every home and business in the country in the next five years.

The committee, which comprises select member of parliaments (MPs) from a mix of political parties, will look into the challenges faced by the roll-out of full-fibre and also that of 5G in the country.
