Gigabit Capable Connectivity meeting
15th December 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Thank you for expressing interest in the recently communicated NHS Digital market engagement session facilitated by Innopsis. Please find below details regarding the date and time of the event as well as some background information.
Over the past four years NHS Digital has established the Health and Social Care Network (HSCN). This involved creation of a Marketplace consisting of 21 suppliers underpinned by a set of industry-accepted standards to ensure safe and robust delivery of network connectivity to NHS organisations in England. 15,000 services were then procured and migrated from legacy systems onto HSCN. Innopsis worked collaboratively with NHS Digital, canvassing Industry’s views at each stage of the process to ensure successful design and implementation of HSCN.
Following the success of the HSCN programme which has enabled greater connectivity at NHS organisations in England that has proven to be critical in addressing the recent Covid-19 challenges, NHS Digital is seeking to further enhance these services to meet the growing digitisation needs of the NHS. There is a strategic intent to provide NHS organisations with access to Gigabit Capable infrastructure and NHS Digital would like to work with Innopsis, BDUK and infrastructure providers to achieve this.
This is expected to be a significant market opportunity for infrastructure providers.
Innopsis would like to invite you to partake in an initial virtual engagement session on Tuesday 15th December (10am – 12pm). NHS Digital will provide details on:
- The outcome of a recent strategy review
- Planned activities resulting from this review
- Opportunities for infrastructure providers
- Perceived challenges requiring collaborative consideration
- Planned ongoing industry engagement
To recap, this session would be best attended by senior Commercial Delivery/Business Development resources from your organisation and NHS Digital would welcome their attendance.
